About the role
ProbablyMonsters is seeking a External Communications Director to help tailor the overall Probably Monsters communications strategy for external audiences, advancing our games IP, the corporate brand and establishing our position in the gaming industry. WHO YOU ARE:

- Develop and implement integrated communications campaigns for all our brands covering both corporate communications and product communications
- Direct disciplines across earned media, social media, community, influencer, and events
- Lead agencies to deliver communications strategies, plans, and activities that engage key audiences
- Lead the development of the ProbablyMonsters’ social media presence and game IP communities, across various social platforms
- Oversee and strategize multiple editorial/content calendars on the different platforms and channels, for the company and new IPs
- Coach executives and other spokespeople across the company and lead the studio’s speaking engagement strategy across industry events
- Build a strategy that will allow studios to cultivate and enhance meaningful relationships with targeted, high-level external audiences including influencers and community
- Manage the communications roadmap based on relevant product plans and industry events
- Create breakthrough earned media strategies and activation frameworks to build awareness and affinity, elevate equity, engage new players, and inspire loyalty
- Coordinate communications initiatives with other cross-functional activities
- 10+ years of communications experience; preferably in the videogame industry.
- Undergraduate degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
- Experience working for a videogame publisher or developer
- Experience building and managing relationships with studios, vendors, internal teams, and external resources.
- Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), time and project management skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize work to align with the company’s and departments’ initiative.
