Prior Hospitalist/Inpatient Experience
3 years minimum

Coverage:  7 pm-7 am on call for cross-coverage and overnight admission(s) - low volume Minimum availability of 5-7 night stretch/month

Job Qualification:

• Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner program with a mental health focus.
• Valid state licensure and certification as a Nurse Practitioner in Kansas.
• Proven clinical experience as an Advanced Practice Provider, preferably in an inpatient setting.
• Strong clinical and diagnostic skills with the ability to develop effective treatment plans.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• Dedication to providing patient-centered care with a focus on compassion, empathy, and respect.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying abreast of the latest medical advancements.

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide on-call responsibilities on a scheduled basis directed by medical staff.
• Assess the physical and psychiatric health of patients and formulate measures to meet patient needs.
• Chart clinical observation (direct or through dictation), evaluations, and treatment of patients in the required time according to facility guidelines.
• Communicate with physicians and other staff as necessary to provide quality care for patients within appropriate guidelines.
• Support and follow legal requirements, hospital policy, and procedures, medical staff bylaws, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide services that are in accordance with the state guidelines for Nurse Practitioners.
