Capital Group’s Strategy & Innovation (S&I) team partners closely with Capital Group’s Management Committee and leadership teams to identify, frame, research, and take action against the key strategic business questions that shape how we deliver on Capital Group’s mission. The team’s recent work (in partnership with others across Capital Group) include:

• Developing Capital Group’s firm-wide multi-year strategic plan

• Assessing and prioritizing new product and client segment growth opportunities for large-scale investment

• Formulating our strategy for international growth

• Incubating Capital Group’s first ESG products and outlining their go-to-market strategy

As a Strategy & Innovation Senior Associate, you will have the opportunity to work on diverse initiatives in a collaborative team setting while building experience in corporate strategy and asset management.  The work will be intellectually challenging and have significant business impact. You will:

• Have a high level of responsibility and own key modules on projects

• Conduct rigorous research, drive high quality analysis, and distill strategic insights

• Develop and present materials that frame key issues, logical fact-based recommendations, and trade-offs to senior business leaders

• Facilitate project definition and planning

• Support the execution and implementation of key insights and recommendations

• Partner with senior business leaders and interface with teams across Capital Group

• You have a Bachelor's degree

• You have at least 2-4 years of experience in strategy or finance (e.g., experience at a management consulting firm, investment bank, or corporate strategy group)

• You possess strong research capabilities, superior analytical and critical thinking skills, and great attention to detail

• You can break down complex and ambiguous problems, develop hypotheses, and generate insights

• You can develop concise and effective verbal and written communications tailored to partners at all levels across the organization

• You have strong and demonstrated teaming skills, especially in cross-functional teams

• You are interested in business strategy and asset management

Southern California Base Salary Range: $148,045-$236,872

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital’s annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
