Position Overview
As a leader in our Revenue Accounting team, you will drive excellence in financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and the strategic management of our revenue streams. You will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial statements, while optimizing the performance of diverse revenue channels. This is a high-impact position for an experienced accounting professional who thrives in a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Revenue Recognition & Analysis

• Direct the accurate and timely recognition of revenue in alignment with GAAP.
• Analyze complex revenue data to identify trends, anomalies, and opportunities for growth or operational efficiency.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to validate revenue transactions and resolve nuanced accounting issues related to contracts and billing.

Financial Reporting

• Lead the preparation and presentation of comprehensive revenue-related financial reports and analyses.
• Ensure all revenue activities are aligned with regulatory requirements and internal company policies.

Strategic Revenue Planning

• Play an instrumental role in shaping financial strategies and long-term objectives related to revenue growth and sustainability.

Internal Controls & Compliance

• Establish, monitor, and enhance robust internal control systems that safeguard revenue streams and ensure data integrity.
• Maintain full compliance with revenue recognition standards, laws, and internal policies.

Team Leadership & Development

• Inspire, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of revenue and general accounting professionals.
• Oversee hiring, training, performance management, and foster a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.

Special Projects & Strategic Initiatives

• Contribute specialized expertise to key projects, such as mergers and acquisitions, system implementations, and process improvements with a focus on revenue accounting.
• Support senior management with ad hoc analysis and reporting, and play an active role in driving strategic initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) in Accounting or related field; CPA required.
• Minimum of 5+ years of progressive revenue accounting experience.

Our Associate Director-Accounting earns between $116,700 - $175,100. Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
