Danfoss Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Controls (RAC), R&D and Engineering is looking for a Senior Project Manager to lead cross-functional teams in developing new products from business proposal to market introduction.

 

We are looking for a senior professional with a proven track record of driving continuous improvements in project execution and cross-functional teamwork in an international environment.

 

The position is located in Nordborg and requires up to 20 days of travel per year.

Job Responsibilities

As our new Senior Project Manager, you will play a key role in organizing, leading, and motivating your project teams. You will be responsible for defining clear and achievable project objectives based on the business case while proactively challenging and engaging with peers — including the management teams in RAC — to drive success.

 

Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

 

• Setting ambitious targets while coaching and motivating team members.
• Managing project timelines, costs, and quality in alignment with the business case.
• Developing and maintaining project schedules to ensure timely completion of new product development.
• Ensuring customer requirements are met, verified, and integrated into project execution.
• Leading team meetings and workshops according to Danfoss guidelines.
• Communicating progress, risks, and key deliverables with stakeholders, management, and customers.

Background & Skills

The preferred candidate has a bachelor’s degree within a relevant field combined with 5 years of experience with project management within an industrial environment.

 

Additionally, you have:

• A proven ability to define clear and achievable project objectives based on business cases.
• Hands-on experience with product development.
• Strong facilitation skills, fostering teamwork and a cross-functional mindset, ideally with Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Confidence in communicating with customers, management, and stakeholders regarding progress, risks, and key deliverables.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.

 

As a person you are energized, persistent and goal oriented, but also open-minded and a good team player who can interact with others, across borders and cultures. Also, strong leadership and networking skills is needed in this role.
