The Insurance Specialist will support the growth and development of the Annuity and Life Insurance business through partnerships with teams and advisors across Wealth Management channels at J.P. Morgan. Annuity and insurance solutions are leveraged to meet client wealth planning needs. This role will support all three lines of business, across the wealth spectrum are requires coordination across functions to deliver a world-class offering and client experience. The ideal candidate will have a working knowledge of the annuity and life insurance industry.
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop effective relationships with internal and external partners to deliver annuity and insurance solutions to our clients
- Collaborate with the Specialists and Practice Leaders to promote the integration of insurance solutions into client’s holistic planning
- Educate advisors on financial products and the process of delivering insurance solutions
- Support advisors through the sales process: responding to inbound product and service support calls
- Maintain an entrepreneurial attitude in the daily management of responsibilities to the partnership with advisors
- Reporting daily activity metrics, including call volumes
- Comfort operating in a fast-paced environment and responding to high call volumes

- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Must have MS PowerPoint and MS Excel skills
- Research and analysis skills, with the ability to synthesize and interpret data
- Must be able to demonstrate flexibility and adaptability and the ability to work under pressure
- Stresses critical thinking and logic when problem-solving; can think creatively and “out of the box”
- Organizational and time management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities
Required Qualifications, Skills and Capabilities:
- Bachelor's degree strongly preferred or equivalent work experience
- 2+ years within the financial services industry
- Experience working with advisors
- Excellent relationship building and communication skills
- Ability to multi‐task and work in a fast-paced team environment
- Self‐driven and independent worker with a sense of urgency and drive towards results
- FINRA SIE, Series 7 and 66, or willingness to take both exams within the required time frame
- Life and Health Insurance licensing, or willingness to take exams within required timeframe
