Union - General Field Technician

The General Field Technician is a unionized position that provides services to meters in the field, in addition to other shop-based functions on meters.

Responsibilities:

• Exchanges AMI electric meters
• Cleaning and retrofitting electric meters
• Researches field work complaints
• Coordinate and monitors field work
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High School Degree or Equivalent
• Experience with using hand tools
• Ability to communicate with the public.
• One year or more of utility or electric experience preferred.
• Ability to travel 75% - 100% of the time.

Physical Requirements:

• Work may require excessive bending or stooping
• Employee required to walk long distances repeatedly throughout the day
• Employee required to sit and drive a vehicle to perform their job
• Employee required to climb ladders and use hand tools
