Job Description
What You’ll Do
As a Staff Accountant at Burwood you will have an eye for detail and ensure your work is done with a high level of accuracy. In this role, you will handle communications with vendors, clients, and internal departments. You will assist with invoicing, collections, and expense reports. You are professional, courteous and detail orientated with strong computer skills and a thorough understanding of accounting and financial principles.
In addition to these core responsibilities, you will:
- Handle collections for open and past-due Accounts Receivable
- Handle credit application processing as necessary
- Prepare written and oral summaries of weekly collection and A/R performance to provide senior leadership an understanding and explanation of results
- Assist with recurring revenue reconciliations and related invoicing processes
- Handle expense report review and processing to ensure internal expense policies are adhered to
- Assist with accounts payable and or accounts receivable tasks as requested
- Monthly journal entries as needed and balance sheet reconciliations
Qualifications
Who You Are
- You have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- You have 3 or more years’ experience in the Accounting field
- You are a strong communicator and communicate effectively with internal colleagues as well as our clients related to invoicing and collections activities
- You can maintain a high level of confidentiality and integrity
- You are highly detailed oriented and do not leave anything to chance
- You have a desire to work for an IT Consulting organization
- You are comfortable interfacing with upper-level management
The Tech Stuff
- Required experience with the MS Suite of products and strong MS Excel Skills
- Preferred experience working knowledge of MS Dynamics Great Plains
