Accountant I/II

This position will be open to internal and external applicants and will close on Sunday, November 24, 2024. 

 

The Accountant I position pays between $54,720 to $68,400, and the Accountant II position pays between  $63,440 to $79,300. Placement in any level is based on skills, experience and education of the successful candidate.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries
• Reconcile and maintain general ledger accounts
• Prepare reports filed with regulatory agencies
• Contribute to department month-end closeout responsibilities
• Prepare account analysis and research account variances
• Contribute to the preparation of budgets and forecasts

Accountant II: Entry Level Duties Plus Additional Responsibilities

 

Successful Candidate Must Have:

• A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Accounting or financial-related field
• A Valid driver’s license
• Accountant I: No financial work experience is required
• Accountant II: Minimum of 3 years of financial work experience. With a Master’s Degree in Accounting or financial-related field, the minimum experience requirement is 1 year of experience.
• Preferences: Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and knowledge of SAP, Power Plan, Banner, Oracle or related software.
