Join the MercyOne Family! We are looking to hire a Physical Therapy Assistant.

As a Physical Therapy Assistant at MercyOne, you will Under general supervision, administers physical therapy treatments to patients, working under the direction of and as assistant to the physical therapist in charge of that patient.  Possesses the skills necessary to provide direct patient care specific to each age group in accordance with department protocol.  The age of the patients served range in age from infants to geriatrics.

Schedule:

• PTA hours will be mixture of inpatient and outpatient
• Inpatient works 7-330
• Outpatient varies based on the clinic, but these coverage dates would be pre-scheduled
• Every 4th weekend (Saturday only)
• 1-2 holidays per year

General Requirements:

• Care for Patients
• Supervise and give direction to support staff
• Documentation

Education:

• Associate degree as Physical Therapist Assistant from an accredited program.
• Licensure (or eligibility for licensure) by the State of Iowa to practice as a Physical Therapy Assistant.
