Job Description

EH Wachs is currently recruiting for a Technical Sales Representative to support our Utility business. The role will be based in Lincolnshire, IL and report to the Utility Sales Manager. 

The Technical Sales Representative will support and sell EH Wachs Utility products under direct supervision and assist with providing technical oversight to assure successful customer integration and implementation of products.

Essential Job Functions:

• Conduct pre-sales activities including understanding the customer’s business and analysis of product needs
• Conduct post-sales activities including delivery follow-up to ensure product has met customer’s needs and communication with customer for additional sales opportunity 
• Handle incoming sales calls and provide technical support of products and applications
• Responsible for leads, activities, quotations creation and follow-up
• Process and follow-up on all incoming leads and opportunities within proposed territory
• Support field salesmen and distributors in moving opportunities through the sales process
• Foster new business and build customer relationships as it is essential to our growth within the market place
• Close customer quotes and process sales orders to invoice 
• Process all RMA’s (returns) and forward to shipping
• May prepare documents for import and export shipments
• Fulfill all requests for literature and technical information required to identify application and specify equipment
• Crosstrain and support inventory control, and shipping and receiving responsibilities as needed.
• Required to adhere and comply with state and federal law, the ISO Quality program and procedures, and the safety program
• Additional duties and tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School or GED is required
• Through company training, this position requires advanced operation and application knowledge of organization’s products
• Excellent verbal, written and listening communication skills
• Aptitude with detailed computer programs
• Must be organized and detail-oriented; as well possess strong time management and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and be resourceful

Must be able to adjust to a changing work environment, competing demands, frequent changes, delays and unexpected events
