Intern - E Commerce

Position Purpose We are seeking a detail-oriented E-Commerce Summer Intern to assist with enhancing our online store's product listings and search visibility. This role will focus on a single project that involves updating product descriptions, links, and categories to improve SEO and user experience. The ideal candidate is highly organized, tech-savvy, and eager to learn about e-commerce optimization.  Pay Rate: $18 per hr.  Temporary, no benefits.  Essential Duties and Responsibilities To perform this job successfully, you must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The essential functions of this position include but are not limited to: 

• Review and update product descriptions to ensure accuracy, clarity, and SEO optimization.
• Standardize and correct links, and product categorization on the website.
• Research and implement SEO best practices to enhance product discoverability.
• Ensure product listings align with internal guidelines and branding.
• Collaborate with the e-commerce team to improve and search functionality.
• Perform quality checks to identify and fix any inconsistencies in product data.
• Assist with additional tasks related to e-commerce operations as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.  

Qualifications  

• Currently pursuing a degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of SEO principles and e-commerce platforms
• Excellent written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
• Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.

Physical Requirements  

• This position may require routine sitting, lifting, bending, and kneeling. 
• Ability to lift 25 lbs. from floor to countertop and countertop to floor.
