Airbnb has made great progress over the years and has been a recognized leader in the D&B space. But this work will never be done.
The Difference You Will Make:
As a Senior Diversity and Belonging (D&B) Partner, reporting into our global Head of Diversity & Belonging, you will focus on advancing Airbnb’s efforts in deep partnership with our Executive team, COEs, other organizational leaders and partners, external consultants and the broader D&B Team. You will draw on your deep expertise and capabilities, including leadership coaching, skilled facilitation, data-driven program design, change management, and impact measurement, as well as the latest research insights to partner with leaders across our Hosting, Airbnb.org and 21C organizations in refining and executing on annualized D&B Plans. This is not a consultant role - you will build deep inroads with other leaders in order to be able to design and implement strategies with an eye toward scalability and meaningful advancement of our mission. As a senior member of the D&B Team, you will also manage, coach and edify other D&B Business Partners and help build strategic and developmental cohesion across the broader D&B Team.
A Typical Day:
- Work with the global Head of Diversity & Belonging, the D&B Leadership Team and the broader D&B team to develop and execute the company-wide D&B goals, D&B plans for several of our largest and most impactful supervisory organizations, and programs that align to Airbnb’s global D&B strategy.
- Deeply partner with Talent Directors and Leaders to leverage your expertise in identifying, developing and executing data-driven, high impact programs and activities to attract, grow and retain a diverse array of top talent.
- Be an expert in the organization on all aspects of D&B bringing relevant solutions that create accountability and transparency; capable of serving as a sounding board and counsel for the Executive Team in this space.
- Develop strategic plans and execution models anchored in deep diagnosis of organizational current state and the appropriate interventions to accelerate progress toward D&B goals and priorities; you will interpret data, measure success, design and shift action plans to ensure the successful organizational adoption and achievement towards our D&B goals.
- You will be a leader who consults internally and externally on broader issues that impact communities of color and other underrepresented communities to support effective and innovative solutions that achieve meaningful results at scale.
- Leverage best practices as well as creative, novel solutions to pilot, develop and execute effective and engaging D&B programs, solutions and messages tailored to organizations you support in close collaboration with organizational leaders, other EX teams (including talent directors, people analytics, learning, recruiting, total rewards, ground control, internal communications, etc), and other internal partners, such as employment legal and Airfinity groups (our employee resource groups).
- Collaborate across functional teams to build inclusion capabilities in every leader, manager and team member across the organization.
- Act as a trusted advisor and maintain confidentiality.
Your Expertise:
- 10-15+ years of relevant experience which might include organizational development, program management, HR, employment law, and/or Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging (DEIB)
- BA/BS with DEIB-related fields of study preferred; MA/MBA/other advanced degree is a plus
- Experience advising and collaborating with executive-level leadership.
- Strong change management, project/program management experience and operational excellence.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong attention to detail.
