HII Mission Technologies is seeking a Part-Time (Temporary) Acquisition Specialist/Project Manager to support the Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center, Air Delivered Capabilities Directorate at Lackland AFB in San Antonio, TX. This critical role contributes to strategic acquisition and project management support for the Weapon Storage and Security System (WS3).
�� This position is part-time and temporary, with the potential to transition into a full-time role after 90 days based on mission requirements and individual performance.
The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in defense acquisition processes and project coordination, along with the adaptability to operate effectively in a reduced-hour capacity while demonstrating readiness for broader responsibilities.

Project Management & Acquisition Support:
• Possess and apply expert knowledge of DoD acquisition processes and analytical methods to gather, analyze, and evaluate information required to support our Government Project Officers
• Apply interaction, communication, coordination, organizational, and planning expertise to technical and acquisition efforts across a broad spectrum of functional disciplines
• Provide day-to-day on-site Project Management support services including writing and reviewing program documents, tracking contracting actions, creating and reviewing travel authorizations and vouchers
• Conclude and devise solutions to problems relating to improvement of acquisition effectiveness and compliance, develop and draft acquisition documentation, and ensure quality control
Core Responsibilities:
• Provide programmatic, acquisition, sustainment, logistics, engineering, and scientific program support services to government personnel
• Oversee cost, schedule, and performance of contract deliverables with demonstrated expertise in personnel resource allocation, supervision, and contract management
• Assist Government Project Officers and Acquisition Specialists in all activities related to capability acquisition while ensuring the Government retains inherently governmental decision-making authority
• Support coordination, execution, status, and management in documentation and specification development, product development, test, analyses, issue identification and resolution
• Provide up-to-date status information and periodic reports on program aspects
Specialized Program Support:
• Support key NDW portfolio programs including WS3, VMP, and DMS sustainment activities
• Assist in activities related to nuclear certification processes per AFI 63-125
• Coordinate with multiple stakeholders including military, civilian, and other contractor personnel supporting the Air Force and NNSA
