There is a Program Coordinator II opening with the Yakima County Human Services Department. This position is responsible for assisting in organizing and managing various databases, staffing data and coordinated entry committees and subgroups, and providing professional level detailed data reports along with providing local technical assistance to local HMIS users.

Responsibilities:
Develops and maintains working relationships with community, regional, State and national contacts; visits key officials and prepares correspondence. Speaks to community organizations to raise interest and awareness of the particular program. Provides staff support to various advisory boards and committees. provides staff support to various advisory boards and committees.
Resolves availability and quality of service problems; and analyzes or assesses service needs.
Performs professional level program work such as: interviewing subgrantee staff and clients; supporting site monitoring/audits for subgrantees; and administering work plans; administering community trainings (e.g. trainings for subgrantees/partners, trainings for landlords, trainings for volunteers); providing technical assistance to subgrantees related to grants administered; reviewing subgrantee materials; and designing computer or other statistical or complex technical evaluation tools.
Coordinates efforts between agencies, staff, providers, subgrantee clients, and/or volunteers; monitors trainings, performance metrics. Performs audits as required by department, state and federal agencies.
Stays informed about the products and services offered by local agencies, organizations and Human Services to people experiencing homelessness in Yakima County.
Provides reports related to performance including: establishing program goals, priorities, and delivery strategies; monitoring program subgrantees; compiling information, analyzing the effects of legislation on the program; conducting on-site evaluations or inspections; and interviewing program contractors. Prepares related reports to ensure compliance with laws and guidelines.
Assists with organizing the logistics of Department and Program events such as the annual Point in Time Count and performing tasks related to each event as directed.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience:
Associate degree or two-year technical certificate in Social Services, Human Services, Mental Health, Social Work, Sociology, Psychology, Public Health ,Business Administration, Data Analytics, Statistics AND two (2) years of progressively responsible program experience; OR an equivalent combination of experience or training which provides the knowledge, skills and abilities sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job.
