Director of Football

Responsible for the coordination of Prestonwood Sports Organization (“PSO”) football program at Prestonwood Baptist Church (“PBC”).

Responsibilities:

• Plan, implement, direct, and evaluate PSO football program
• Oversee PSO Children’s football league
• Administrate PSO football league including registration, uniform procurement, equipment distribution and collection
• Recruit and train leaders for PSO football league
• Establish lessons associated with PSO football league for spiritual development and training
• Oversee rule establishment, leadership development and accountability, and spiritual guidance for league
• Manage the selection and compensation of league officials
• Coordinate PSO Children’s football camp(s)
• Work with Children’s Ministry and PCA Lower School leadership to promote PSO football league and camp(s)
• Promote PSO football and events on all social media outlets
• Coordinate and maintain PSO football master calendar
• Collaborate with PCA head football coach and help organize PSO tackle football teams
• Other duties as assigned

• Have a passion for sports ministry and reaching the lost
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Professional demeanor and sportsmanship qualities
• Bachelor’s degree or 2+ years relevant work experience
• Excellent planning and organizational skills
• Strong communication skills, both written and oral
• Ability to work independently and multitask
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
• Maintain First Aid/CPR/AED certifications 
• Ability to work at a desk with a computer screen for extended periods of time, occasionally perform physical activities that require moving one’s whole body, such as walking, stooping, pushing/pulling a cart, and lifting up to 50 pounds without assistance
