HallMar Village is seeking a Part-Time COTA to join our growing in-house therapy team. This position has potential to move to full-time in the future!

ABOUT THIS COMMUNITY
HallMar Village is a joint ministry of Mercy Medical Center and Presbyterian Homes & Services. This senior living community will offer independent living, assisted living, and memory care apartment homes as well as long term care suites. With the Village Center at its heart, the community offers inviting and comfortable living spaces along with outdoor elements including patios, courtyards, gardening spaces, and walking trails.

Responsibilities
As an Occupational Therapist Assistant you will be responsible to:
- Provide treatment per the established plan of care and in accordance with physician orders.
- Assist in identifying goals, prioritizing treatment, and selecting appropriate interventions.
- Continuously assess changes in functional deficits and adjust treatment as appropriate.
- Provide education to residents/clients, families, caregivers, and staff.
- Collaborate with therapist on observations, progress towards goals, and recommended updates to plan of care and discharge.
- Provide accurate and timely documentation & billing in electronic medical record.
- Demonstrate understanding and knowledge of payer sources and regulatory requirements.
- Coordinate with therapist on supervisory visits per regulations.
- Communicate effectively with residents/clients, families, caregivers, physicians, referral sources, and interdisciplinary team.
Qualifications
- Graduate for an accredited program for occupational therapy assistants.
- Current licensure in the state of practice as required
- Competence in assisting occupational therapy evaluation and treatment per OT standards of practice
- Demonstrated compatibility with PHS's mission and operating philosophies.
- Demonstrated ability to read, write, speak and understand the English language to communicate with all customers.
