Position Summary

The Senior People Experience Partner plays a pivotal role in shaping a high-performing, employee-centered culture across the Boys & Girls Clubs of Silicon Valley’s Contra Costa region. This position is a trusted advisor and strategic partner to regional leadership, delivering high-impact support in onboarding, employee relations, performance coaching, HR compliance, and talent processes. You’ll help drive engagement and operational excellence by advancing systems, tools, and strategies that elevate the employee experience.


Key Responsibilities

People Experience Leadership

? Serve as a strategic HR partner to regional leadership across five Contra Costa Club locations, ensuring consistency in employee experience and alignment with organizational values.
 

? Lead the full employee lifecycle, including onboarding, training coordination, compliance tracking (background checks, certifications), and exit processes.
 

? Act as a trusted resource for employees and managers, addressing questions, coaching performance concerns, and supporting workplace issues with discretion and care.
 

? Develop and maintain employee communications, FAQs, and resource materials to improve understanding and transparency of HR policies.
 

? Apply data analytics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities; propose and implement solutions that enhance retention, engagement, and performance.
 

? Guide and support change management initiatives, collaborating with key stakeholders to ensure effective communication and implementation.


? Contribute to cross-functional People team projects, process improvements, and strategic HR initiatives.


Administrative and Compliance Support

? Provide clerical and administrative assistance to the Executive Director, including HR documentation and records management.
 

? Conduct routine audits of HR files to ensure documentation accuracy and legal compliance.
 

? Ensure alignment with California labor law and BGCSV’s internal policies and procedures at all times.

Requirements

  

Qualifications

Required:

? Minimum 7 years of progressively responsible experience in human resources, including employee relations, performance management, and HR operations.
 

? Bachelor’s degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
 

? Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and experience using HRIS and ATS systems.
 

? Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills with a service-oriented mindset.
 

? Demonstrated ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and travel locally as needed.


Preferred:

? Experience working in a nonprofit or youth-serving organization.
 

? Knowledge of California labor and employment laws.
 

? PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification.
