Job Description

Your contribution to something big: 

At Bosch, we are shaping the future of mobility by developing intelligent automotive systems powered by Artificial Intelligence. As part of our engineering team, you will contribute to the development of next-generation Occupant Monitoring Systems and other AI-driven automotive solutions, working at the intersection of Embedded Software and Machine Learning.

You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to transform AI models into efficient, reliable, and production-ready embedded software, helping bring innovative perception technologies to vehicles worldwide.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality C++ software for Occupant Monitoring Systems and other AI-powered automotive applications.
  • Develop software components that consume, process, and interpret outputs from Deep Learning and Machine Learning models.
  • Collaborate closely with AI/ML engineers to integrate AI models into embedded software solutions.
  • Understand and optimize the interaction between hardware, embedded software, AI algorithms, and system architectures.
  • Optimize software performance, memory usage, and execution efficiency on embedded automotive platforms (e.g., Texas Instruments, Qualcomm, and similar SoCs).
  • Support the deployment, integration, and validation of AI models in embedded environments.
  • Develop software following modern software engineering practices, ensuring maintainability, scalability, testability, and high code quality.
  • Participate in software architecture discussions, code reviews, debugging, and continuous improvement activities.
  • Contribute to innovative AI-enabled perception solutions for next-generation automotive systems.

Qualifications

What distinguishes you:

Education

  • Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.

Experience / Know-how

Mandatory Skills

  • Experience developing software in modern C++, preferably for embedded systems.
  • Experience with software optimization, debugging, and performance analysis.
  • Strong knowledge of software engineering principles, including SOLID, RAII, design patterns, and Clean Code.
  • Good understanding of embedded systems, memory management, multithreading, and performance optimization.
  • Experience with API/interface design and modular software architectures.
  • Understanding of Deep Learning concepts, including neural networks, inference pipelines, tensors, and feature extraction.
  • Familiarity with Deep Learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, TensorRT, PyTorch, or similar.
  • Understanding of the machine learning lifecycle, including training, validation, optimization, and deployment.
  • Ability to translate AI model behavior into efficient embedded software implementations.
  • Knowledge of software quality practices, including unit testing, static analysis, code reviews, and CI/CD.
  • Very good written and verbal communication skills in English.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience working with AI/ML-based products or applications.
  • Experience in automotive software development.
  • Experience deploying AI models on embedded platforms such as Qualcomm, Texas Instruments, NVIDIA, or similar.
