Job Description

The Sr. Engineering Technician is responsible for testing, evaluating and repairing all ESA goggles and intensifier tube types, customer field support (domestic and international), customer training on goggle usage and repair, logistics support and customer calls for information. The Sr. Engineering Technician is also responsible for:

  • Providing technician support for US Government repair service programs across product lines to include but not limited to ENVG and SENVG. 
  • Complete necessary assignments in support of successful resolutions to assigned project(s). This will include, but not be limited to, diagnosis of required repairs, priority assignment of subsequent repairs, re-soldering boards, building units, testing functionality on products and creation of or maintaining repair documentation.
  • Responsible for departmental documentation, order entry, data entry, process improvement opportunities and implementation, monthly reports.

Qualifications

  • 2 years post-secondary/AA-AS degree or equivalent
  • 5+ years related technical experience
  • Technically capable, able to use hands on tools and test equipment and microscopes
  • Soldering certificate/experience
  • Electronics certificate/experience
  • Troubleshooting experience
  • Proficient in various computer programs such as Excel, Word and able to learn ESA factory programs
  • Customer service

Preferred Skills:

  • Familiar with night vision equipment, image tube evaluation and test experience
  • Experience with night vision goggle assembly, build, and use of various night vision test equipment
  • Technical repair
  • Training/teaching experience
  • Experience with Fault Analysis
