Want to join us?</p> <p> </p> <p>Job Title: Senior Hardware Engineer – Automotive Networking Technologies<br/> <br/> What we offer</p> <p>You will become a member of the development team, ComWired Technologies which is an expert team where you will get access to long term development opportunities in a dynamic environment. The wired communication area consists of a hardware (HW) team known as ComWired Technologies, a software (SW) team known as ComWired Application team, and a systems team known as ComWired System. All these teams have many deliverables which are developed through advanced engineering and research projects. The teams are a part of the agile release train (ART) Base Technology Solutions (BTS), which forms a part of the fundament for all electronic control units in the entire electrical system.<br/> The ComWired Technologies (HW) team focuses on multiple wired communication technologies such as Automotive Ethernet, CAN, LIN, LVDS, A2B, PCIe, USB and many more. The team members are responsible for designing and verifying the wired communication technologies through requirements, simulations, measurements and proof of concept from both a HW and SW perspective. The team members work in close collaboration with other teams and suppliers to make sure that the wired technologies are implemented according to Volvo Cars requirements.</p> <p><br/> <br/> What you’ll do</p> <ul> <li>You will develop Automotive Networking Technologies (Automotive Ethernet, CAN, LIN, LVDS, A2B, PCIe, USB, GMSL; FPD, ASA….).</li> <li>You will define requirements and test cases for the development and integration of new HW components &amp; communication technologies.</li> <li>You will develop PoC and test benches to validate new and current HW components &amp; communication technologies.</li> <li>You will follow with ECU teams and suppliers the development and integration of the HW components to ensure that the defined requirements have been fulfilled and implemented.</li> </ul> <p>This work will be done in close cooperation with other team members. Team members are automotive experts within their technology field, and they will be happy to share their experience with you. More details about the position will be shared in an interview.</p> <p> </p> <p>What you'll bring</p> <ul> <li>Expert knowledge of ADI GMSL families, as well as other technologies such as TI FPD, ASA, A-PHY, APIX2 and other high speed protocols/standards. </li> <li>EMC and EDS performance and measurements. </li> <li>You have experience and knowledge at Physical Layer and at Protocol Layers as well.</li> <li>You have experience with HW development, system architecture and network interface design.</li> <li>Good to have (Bonus) : <ul> <li>Experience with various digital and analog electronics, such as Transceivers, Controllers, Microcontrollers, application processors.</li> <li>Experience with designing or reviewing schematics and PCB layout design.</li> <li>Experience with Power over Data Line (PoDL), Power over Coaxial (PoC), Power over Ethernet (PoE).</li> </ul> </li> </ul> <p> </p> <p><u> </u>Who you are</p> <ul> <li>Minimum B.Sc. or M.Sc. degree in Computer, Physics, Electrical Engineering or equivalent education</li> <li>You are curious and want to contribute to develop of our wired technologies. </li> <li>You are committed to high delivery quality and can proceed your work without having all facts at hand before you start. </li> <li>You have a positive attitude and are a team player.</li> <li>Excellent communication skills in English both in writing and speech.</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p> </p> <p>Want to know more?
