How we’ll deliver success:

We are seeking a strong operational and strategic leader to join us as the Vice President of Strategy & Business Operations. This role will play a crucial part in further accelerating Shippo’s momentum to become the shipping layer of the internet and drive both operational excellence as well as strategy across the entire organization. Reporting directly to the COO, you will shape our broader company trajectory and you will be able to directly influence the long term direction of the company by applying your analytical and conceptual skillset and experience. You will also oversee the optimization of current processes (e.g. OKR setting / tracking), drive operational efficiency, manage cross-departmental projects and ensure resource allocation aligns with our strategic objectives.

Shipping & Handling Responsibilities

• Lead and optimize day-to-day business operations, ensuring processes are streamlined, efficient, and in alignment with our company's growth objectives.
• Collaborate with various department heads to execute cross-functional projects, ensuring timely completion and alignment with strategic goals.
• Develop and implement strategic plans that meet business goals and objectives, based on data-driven insights and industry trends.
• Oversee resource allocation, ensuring optimal distribution of manpower and financial resources to support operational and strategic initiatives.
• Continuously assess and refine operational metrics and KPIs, ensuring that they provide clear insights into the health and direction of the business.
• Manage and grow a high performing team

Requirements

Do you tick the boxes?

• Minimum of 12 years’ experience in business operations or a related field, with a proven track record of driving operational efficiency and process optimization.
• Demonstrated strategic thinking and planning abilities, with experience translating business objectives into actionable strategies.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the capacity to lead cross-departmental teams and major projects.
• Proficiency in using analytics and data-driven insights to inform decision-making and drive operational improvements.
• Knowledge of the e-commerce and logistics ecosystem and experience working with SMBs and enterprise SaaS solutions is a plus.

Our Compensation Shippolicy

We believe compensation is a custom experience and are committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The standard base pay range for this role is min $290k to a max $330k annual salary. We tend to anchor our pay in the middle of this range with most offers that we make. Since we are focused on hiring Shippos Everywhere, we have 2 US pay ranges, a standard compensation range for the majority of the US and a standard +1 compensation range for those who live in areas where the cost of labor is higher, such as NYC and California.
