An internship at Edwards gives you the opportunity to participate in Summer Program, which provides exposure to our leadership team, community activities, and social events with other interns and recent new graduates. You will have the chance to develop and demonstrate your technical skills, as well as interact firsthand with our patient-focused culture.
What you'll need (Required):
- Current enrollment as a student at an accredited university for the duration of the Internship project with a graduation date of December 2024 or later. Candidates entering their 2nd (Sophomore), or 3rd (Junior) year is preferred.
- Pursuing bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information technology or equivalent field of study.
- Ability to work full-time for the duration of the Internship (Summer 2024 - December 2024)
- Good scholastic standing (3.0+ cumulative GPA or equivalent on a 4.0 Scale.
- Must not require company sponsorship for an employment-based visa now or in the future.
What else we look for (Preferred):
- Sophomore or Junior standing, pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, information technology or equivalent field of study.
- Interest in pursuing healthcare and/or medical device industry experience
- Must have a strong work ethic, excellent organization skills, demonstrated learning agility, and critical thinking skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to prioritize time-sensitive assignments based on input from manager.
- Basic understanding of Technical Languages: C++, Python, ect.
- Basic understanding of software development lifecycle and engineering methodologies
- Basic understanding of human anatomy
- Ability to understand DICOM protocol is a plus
- Basic understanding of Python.
- Prior experience working with Machine Learning models.
Key Responsibilities
The Co-Op will be responsible for participating in an on-going research project that is highly confidential. The Co-Op will be responsible for taking the direction from other senior technical members of the team as well as their manager for both guidance and executing daily tasks.
The intern is also responsible for ensuring all code subversioning processes are followed as well as ensuring unit testing and code review steps are enforced before he/she commits their work before end of day. Based on the customer feedback and the testing results intern will ensure the updated requirements or bug fixes are put in place in time. Intern will need to constantly collaborate with the project manager as well as other technical members of the team.

For California, the base pay range for this position is $29 - $35 an hour. The pay for the successful candidate will depend on various factors (e.g., qualifications, education, prior experience).
