Sr Research and Disputes Associate - Chargebacks/Exceptions

 What does a Senior Research and Disputes Associate do?

As a Senior Research and Disputes Associate at Fiserv, you will play a vital role in ensuring exceptional client experiences by managing incoming and outgoing correspondence with efficiency and accuracy. You will support requests for reprints of payment acceptance disputes documentation and merchant statements, while also educating clients on the dispute process. Your responsibilities will extend to keying, balancing, and recovering payment acceptance transactions across multiple platforms, allowing you to leverage your analytical skills to make informed decisions on disputes and consumer complaints.

What You Will Do:

  • Research, investigate, and decide on disputes and consumer complaints.
  • Evaluate and support requests for reprints of payment acceptance disputes documentation and merchant statements.
  • Key, balance, and recover payment acceptance transactions through reprocessing across multiple platforms.
  • Resolve tax documentation and funding inquiries related to IRS 6050W.
  • Educate clients on the dispute process promptly and accurately.

What You Need to Have:

  • 2+ years’ experience in researching and investigating claims and/or disputes.
  • Experience in problem-solving abilities.
  • 1+ years’ experience in managing complex claims and/or cases.
  • Familiarity with debit processing, dispute resolution, and banking regulations.
  • Experience in basic computer skills, including data entry and Microsoft Applications (Excel, Word).
  • Experience in customer service, preferably within a financial services environment.

What Would Be Great to Have:

  • Experience in payment acceptance dispute resolution for both merchants and consumers.
  • Technical proficiency and familiarity with IRS 6050W tax processing.
  • Experience in utilizing the internal dispute system (IDS).
  • Knowledge of Debit and Credit Payment Network portals.
  • Basic knowledge of electronic payment systems and authorization processes.

Important information about this role:

  • This role is on-site Monday through Friday. Fiserv considers in-person collaboration to be an essential part of this role as in-person office experiences help you with your overall onboarding experience and lead to stronger productivity.
  • You must currently possess valid and unrestricted U.S. work authorization to be considered for this role. Individuals with temporary visas including, but not limited to, F-1 (OPT, CPT, STEM), H-1B, H-2, or TN, or any candidate requiring sponsorship, now or in the future, will not be considered for this role.
  • This is a full-time, direct-hire position, and no contract options for unsolicited agency submissions will be considered.

Salary Range:

$35,000.00-$42,500.00

These pay ranges apply to employees in Maryland. Pay ranges for employees in other states may differ. Certain Positions are Commissions eligible.<
