About the role

ROLE SUMMARY

HYMPAVZI, a priority brand and growth driver for Specialty Care and Pfizer, is a first-in-class novel anti-TFPI therapy that received approval in October 2024 for the treatment of Hemophilia A and B patients 12 years and older without inhibitors.

The US HYMPAVZI Consumer Marketing Director serves as a key team leader responsible for advancing strategic projects that activate our hemophilia A and B patients and caregivers. The Director plays a pivotal role in developing and executing an authentic omnichannel strategy inclusive of trusted community-based channels to drive trust, awareness, and empowered decision-making for potential HYMPAVZI treatment selection.

A vital aspect of success in this role involves effectively reaching, engaging, and activating patients through reliable channels, including community-based platforms, strengthening trust, raising awareness, and driving informed decision-making supporting the brand and improving patient outcomes. Exercising a belief that measuring impact is foundational to success is key in the role.

This position will report to the US HYMPAVZI Consumer Marketing Lead and will work closely with cross-functional colleagues, community-based organizations, and external vendors.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead integrated consumer omnichannel and community marketing strategies to drive seamless brand messaging across various channels (e.g., websites, patient-facing colleagues, patient conferences and events, KOL-to-patient education, community advertising, and other key channels). The Director will evolve the strategy to align with upcoming new indications.
  • Lead the evolution of the branded patient website to reflect Patient Navigator (PN) and community activities and for potential new indications
  • Lead the strategy and design for national patient conferences including sponsorship levels, programming, and on-site engagement
  • Lead the strategic development of Patient Navigator patient educational resources and programming aligned with their permissions. Collaborate with the training team to develop and implement training for effective and compliant marketing materials execution
  • Lead the execution of a communications plan to compliantly amplify the voice and awareness of the Patient Navigators and programming within the community
  • Collaborate on the development and alignment of PN-based metrics of success of marketing materials in compliance with PN permissions
  • Lead the strategy for Pfizer HQ marketing driven programs including KOL-to-patient community-based initiatives
  • Ensure content development is patient-centered, accessible, and aligned with health literacy, accessibility, and equity principles.
  • Apply patient insights, market research, and journey mapping to inform program design and ensure relevance across the patient experience.
  • Serve as a patient voice within the organization, ensuring strategies and initiatives reflect patient needs, perspectives, and lived experiences.
  • Define and track marketing metrics to measure effectiveness, optimize execution, and demonstrate program value.
  • Act as a mentor and coach to senior managers, marketing rotational managers, and intern(s) assigned to the team

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 8+ of experience required
  • 5-7+ years of pharmaceutical marketing experience preferred
  • Consumer marketing experience preferred
  • Rare disease experience (including hemophilia experience) preferred
  • Demonstrated success developing and executing, omnichannel marketing programs including patient conferences strategy and execution
  • Strong website development experience preferred
  • Experience developing and executing patient education resources and programming for a promotional patient-facing team
  • Launch and immediate post-launch experience is preferred
  • Ability to understand and apply patient insights, market research, and journey mapping to inform strategies, program design and ensure relevance across the patient experience.
  • Define and track marketing metrics to measure effectiveness, optimize execution, and demonstrate program value.
  • Strong communication skills, ability to mobilize key stakeholders and engage senior leadership
  • Demonstrated success in maintaining productive/collaborative relationships with internal and external community-based partners, and KOLs
  • Excellent collaboration, negotiation, and decision-making skills. Experience
