Senior Director of Pricing Strategy & Analytics

Job Summary

The Senior Director of Pricing Analytics is responsible for leading a global pricing analytics team to drive data-driven pricing strategies that optimize revenue, market share, and profitability. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in pricing analytics, strategic problem-solving, and cross-functional leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Strategic Pricing Influence: Shape and refine pricing strategies through advanced analytics to drive revenue and market share growth.

  • Stakeholder Alignment: Partner with VPs, Directors, Regional Finance Leads, and Regional Presidents to ensure pricing strategies align with broader business goals.

  • Advanced Pricing Analytics: Conduct in-depth analysis of pricing results, win rates, and market trends to identify revenue opportunities.

  • Market-Based Pricing Adjustments: Develop strategies to lower prices to drive volume or increase prices to maximize profitability while maintaining competitive positioning.

  • Regional Strategy Reviews: Engage with regional teams to identify pricing opportunities and develop actionable strategies tailored to each market.

  • Problem-Solving & Market Share Growth: Devise analytical approaches to pricing challenges with a focus on solving problems the right way while balancing market share and profitability.

  • Opportunity Identification: Continuously scan market trends and pricing data to identify opportunities that enhance competitive advantage.

  • Lead CPQ Implementation

  • Service Pricing Strategy to ensure maximization revenue and profit

  • Standardization of CAP (Cost Allocation Process): Lead efforts to standardize pricing methodologies for consistency and efficiency across global markets.

  • Major Initiative Leadership: Play a key role in large-scale pricing projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams.

  • Controls & Business Objectives: Contribute to projects focused on achieving market share and EBIT goals, working closely with pricing analysts and business pricing experts to address key business objectives.

  • Manage a team of 10-15 pricing professionals

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Mathematics, or related field (MBA preferred).

  • Experience:

    • 10+ years of experience in pricing analytics, revenue management, or related field.

    • 5+ years of leadership experience, managing teams and cross-functional stakeholders.

    • Proven track record of strategic pricing influence within a global organization.

  • Skills & Expertise:

    • Deep analytical proficiency in pricing models, market trends, and revenue optimization.

    • Strong understanding of financial modeling, elasticity analysis, and competitive positioning.

    • Ability to work with large datasets and pricing analytics tools (SQL, Tableau, Power BI, etc.).

    • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills to align pricing strategies across leadership teams.

    • Strategic problem-solving mindset with the ability to drive pricing initiatives.

    • Demonstrated ability to standardize pricing processes across multiple regions.
