What we need:

 

The Manager Internal Audit is a first-level manager that manages the day-to-day operations of the internal audit team. This role involves developing and executing audit plans, assessing risks, ensuring compliance, and providing strategic guidance to enhance internal controls and governance.

 

What you’ll do:

 

  • Plan, organize, and direct the SOX testing program.
  • Act as departmental liaison with external auditors.
  • Oversee the execution of audit procedures to assess the reliability and integrity of financial and operational information.
  • Ensure the maintenance of accurate and detailed audit documentation, workpapers, and reports.
  • Prepare and present clear and concise audit reports to senior management and audit committees.
  • Monitor and track the implementation of audit recommendations and corrective action plans.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to management to ensure successful remediation.
  • Communicate audit findings, recommendations, and risk assessments to senior management and key stakeholders.
  • Foster positive relationships with internal departments.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging risks, and changes in accounting and auditing standards.
  • Perform other duties as needed.

 

What you have:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
  • 6-8 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience. 
  • 1-3 years of management experience.
  • CPA, CIA, or CISA certification, or active pursuit of a certification.
