The role focuses on operating and supporting enclosing and finishing equipment, completing quality checks,<span> </span></span><span>maintaining</span><span><span> </span></span><span>accurate</span><span><span> </span>production records, and helping the team deliver mail packs to customer requirements and agreed service levels.</span></span><span> </span></p><p></p><p><b>Working Hours: Rotating <span>Two-shift pattern: 6:00AM to 2:00PM and 2:00PM to 10:00PM.</span></b></p><p></p><p><b><span>Responsibilities</span></b></p><div><ul><li><p><span><span>Operate and support enclosing and finishing equipment, including CMC mailing machines, Bowe Fusion mailing machines, pressure sealers, folding<span> </span></span><span>equipment</span><span><span> </span>and consolidators where trained and<span> </span></span><span>authorised</span><span>.</span></span><span> </span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Set up work in line with the job specification, production schedule, work<span> </span></span><span>instructions</span><span><span> </span>and site quality controls.</span></span><span> </span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Carry out start-up, in-process and end-of-job checks to confirm the correct documents, inserts, envelopes, postage<span> </span></span><span>formats</span><span><span> </span>and job counts are being used.</span></span><span> </span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Monitor machine performance throughout the run and escalate jams, recurring faults, quality<span> </span></span><span>issues</span><span><span> </span>or downtime promptly to the Team Leader, Engineering or Planning as<span> </span></span><span>appropriate</span><span>.</span></span><span> </span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Complete production paperwork, system updates, reconciliation<span> </span></span><span>records</span><span><span> </span>and handover notes accurately and on time.</span></span><span> </span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Carry out routine operator maintenance, housekeeping and cleaning tasks to keep equipment and work areas safe,<span> </span></span><span>organised</span><span><span> </span>and<span> </span></span><span>production-ready</span><span>.</span></span><span> </span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Support consumable stock checks and highlight shortages of envelopes, paper, inserts,<span> </span></span><span>labels</span><span><span> </span>or other production materials before they affect output.</span></span><span> </span></p></li><li><p><span><span>Work flexibly across the production area to support workload, service level requirements,<span> </span></span><span>overtime</span><span><span> </span>and cross-training needs.</span></span><span> </span></p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>About You</b></p><ul><li><p>Enclosing machine experience - essential</p></li><li><p>CMC mailing machine experience - desirable</p></li><li><p>Experience in print, mail, fulfilment, <span>production, manufacturing or</span> a similar fast-paced operational environment is desirable. </p></li><li><p>Good attention to detail with the ability to follow written work instructions and verbal direction accurately. </p></li><li><p>Confident with basic computer use, production recording and job tracking systems, or willing to learn. </p></li><li><p>Able to work as part of a team and communicate clearly during handovers, <span>downtime escalations and</span> quality checks. </p></li></ul><p></p><div><p><b>About Capita Intelligent Communications (CIC)</b></p><p>Capita Intelligent Communications (CIC) is a leading provider of secure communications, mailroom, scanning and document management services.
