About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team. The A/R Specialist will be responsible for collecting customer open receivables and processing customer payments timely and accurately. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on, pro-active self-starter with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and must have the ability to work closely with others, prioritize workload, and adapt to a changing environment. Key Responsibilities

  • Drive collections through execution of standard work via email and phone communication
  • Apply payments according to remittance details provided by customer
  • Meet key metrics established for the position and department
  • Research and resolve customer deductions, disputes, and issues
  • Influence customer to take desired actions to resolve outstanding issues/invoices
  • Identify uncollectible amounts and be proactive with potential bad debt exposure
  • Set-up and maintain customer accounts
  • Identify and collaborate on solutions for billing and AR deficiencies
  • Work cross-functionally with sales, customer service, and service as needed
  • Participate in system updates and improvements
  • Maintain good communication with internal stakeholders to overcome obstacles
  • Ad-hoc projects and analyses and other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Associates degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of accounts receivable experience a plus
  • Minimum of 1 years of customer facing experience a plus
  • Knowledgeable of credit / collection laws
  • Proficient keyboarding / typing skills, Microsoft Outlook
  • Strong experience with Microsoft Excel (vlookups and pivot tables a plus)
  • Must have strong organization skills and meet deadlines
  • Must have strong written and oral communication skills
  • Experience with AS400/PRMS platform and/or SAP S/4 HANA a plus
  • Manufacturing experience a plus
  • Experience in lean environment a plus
