The one-year SAN Veteran Fellowship program offers veterans with great initiative and an excellent opportunity to gain practical work experience in our integrated aviation environment. As a part of the Fellowship program, you will gain valuable insights with hands-on work experience while developing essential skills in airport operations. This program provides direct exposure to industry professionals, fostering mentorship and networking opportunities that can lead to long-term career growth.

    About the Fellowship:

    The Arts Team is seeking a dynamic and creative Airport Art Program Coordinator Veteran Fellow, to enhance the customer experience for SAN travelers through live music and performances. As the New Terminal 1 opens later this year, this role will play a key part in activating new performance spaces and ensuring a seamless experience for both performers and audiences—giving guests a taste of San Diego’s vibrant music scene. This is an opportunity to contribute to a growing program, helping to develop innovative and sustainable strategies for performing arts activations and operations.

     

    What You’ll Do:

    • Program Development: Research best models and develop the processes for engaging a roster of reoccurring performers. Analyse and outreach, outline performance standards, create calls for artists, and coordinate selection and contracting processes. Build digital systems for organization and scheduling.
    • Operations: Coordinate logistics with internal and external stakeholders. Provide essential A/V technical support, serving as the primary point of contact for performers and audience members. Monitor performances in real-time, offering proactive customer service and analyzing potential improvements to enhance the passenger experience. Regularly (a minimum of twice a week), drive and operate an Authority vehicle to transport equipment to events.
