Senior Business Development Coordinator, Investment Sales

Purpose and Job Summary
Lument is currently seeking to hire a Business Development Coordinator. The Business Development Coordinator (BDC) provides support to the Head of Investment Sales in his/her efforts to recruit and retain brokers and business across the country. Due to the executive’s extensive travel schedule, the ideal candidate will excel in an environment where they must work independently. This position does not require sales or travel.
In addition to supporting the Head of Investment Sales, this individual may provide administrative support to other members of the investment sales team, as needed.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Assist Head of Investment Sales with prospective recruit and client identification and verification of contact information.
Conduct background research on prospective clients and recruits (management and board members, past financing transactions, etc.).
Assist Head of Investment Sales with management of relationships with associations and marketing partners.
Assist Head of Investment Sales with association activities, including conferences, exhibiting, and pre/post-show letters.
Assist Head of Investment Sales in identifying and implementing new speaking or marketing opportunities with associations.
Maintain updates on marketing partners’ activities.
Assist Head of Investment Sales with background research on new potential marketing partners.
Implement marketing initiatives as defined by Head of Investment Sales under national footprint. Coordinate implementation of specific marketing initiatives with marketing department to develop synergy with national marketing campaigns.
Assist Head of Investment Sales with CRM updates and management.
Assist with mailings to clients, prospective clients, and recruits.
Assist with other organizational or national projects designed to enhance business development efforts.
Involvement in corporate and strategic initiatives as the need arises
Work professionally and harmoniously with team and coworkers

This position has frequent contact with all levels of employees and management. In addition, this role may interact with outside business partners, vendors, consultants, and other office visitors.
Education, Skills & Experience
Required
Associates or Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing or related field, or equivalent work experience required
Prior work experience in client-focused (preferably financial) services firm required
Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, & Outlook), particularly adept at working with data in MS Excel.
Prior experience with CRM databases preferred.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Prior experience updating and maintaining databases.
Ability to perform internet research.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and list other relevant systems or software
Excellent organizational, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize assignments, and to meet critical and established deadlines; Ability to manage multiple assignments and transactions simultaneously
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality and to use discretion in the performance of daily activities
Professional business image and excellent command of the English language, both verbally and in writing (spelling, grammar, and punctuation)
Ability to learn quickly and demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a high-performance team
Flexibility and ability to work under pressure with tight deadlines and constant interruptions; Ability to adjust priorities in a changing environment
Annual base salary gross: $100,000 (NY only). The base salary range represents the estimated low and high end of the ORIX USA’s salary for this position. Actual base salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and proficiency for the role. The base pay is one component of ORIX USA's total compensation package for employees.
