About Houston

 

ExxonMobil's state-of-the-art campus north of Houston serves as home to its Upstream, Product Solutions and Low Carbon Solutions businesses and their associated service groups. The facility opened in 2014 and accommodates more than 10,000 employees and visitors.

What role you will play in our team

 

Within our Procurement team, we drive value, efficiency and expanded market advantage (while maintaining operational integrity) via supplier negotiations, execution of competitive bids, and development of new agreements as well as managing a portfolio of existing agreements, consistent with defined Category Strategies. 

 

Location of position is ExxonMobil Corp. campus in Spring, TX.

What you will do

 

  • Develop and maintain portfolio of agreements with focus on supporting our industrial gas purchasing needs
  • Contract process execution in Procurement Contracting platform/system, while maintaining full compliance with our Procurement Controls Handbook
  • Support Category Manager in development and implementation of Category strategic and commercial guidance
  • Steward business relationship for key portfolio activities
  • Identify value and efficiencies within the portfolio 
  • Supplier interactions – negotiations, issue resolution, relationship management
  • Ensure transactional efficiency of agreements (leveraging our SAP system and system support team members)
  • Regularly coordinate and lead response during emergency production facility issues to ensure security of supply, including occasional non-business hours involvement 
  • Chemical Products Negotiations - negotiating contracts, managing portfolio of agreements and interacting commercially with suppliers 
  • Exposure/interacting with Chemicals and Refining/Supply Business partners

About you

 

Skills and Qualifications

  • B.S. or equivalent work experience
  • Prior Procurement-based knowledge of the Industrial Gas Category  
  • Procurement / commercial functional expertise
  • Strong communication skills to effectively interface with several stakeholders
  • Strong analytical skills, ability to develop Total System Cost (TSC) models
  • Strong Project planning / execution skills
  • Effective negotiation, advocacy and influencing skills
  • Inquisitive and proactive mindset to quickly develop understanding of business objectives
