Product Security Engineering Manager

We also help merchants connect with their customers, process exchanges and returns, and manage risk. We enable consumers to engage in cross-border shopping and merchants to extend their global reach while reducing the complexity and friction involved in enabling cross-border trade.

Job Description Summary:

This role is managing a team of engineers integrating, supporting, and developing a number of product security scanners. This includes COTS solutions, as well as some open source or internally developed scanners.

The team’s main goal is to identify security vulnerabilities in PayPal’s code and applications, while ensuring that the vulnerabilities identified are the most relevant ones to PayPal’s overall security.

The team’s work combines security engineering, with software and system engineering.

PayPal Product Security team is a part of PayPal Cyber & Information Security, dedicated to ensuring the products we provide our customers are secure. We work across application and infrastructure, ensuring security is built into development, deployment, and production, while covering multiple tech stacks.

The Product Security Engineering group is a dedicated to providing quality engineering solutions to support our goals. We provide solutions to other teams within Product Security, enabling faster and more comprehensive work. We also work to integrate security solutions into developers’ native workflows, leading to better security with less friction. As such, we partner with many security, development, and DevOps teams. Our vision is to show how quality engineering and better security support each other.

Your day-to-day

• Mentor a team of engineers at various levels of experience and of different backgrounds
• Provide full scan coverage of PayPal’s code and applications in order to identify vulnerabilities
• Integrate security scanners into native developer tools and workflows (SCM, CI/CD, Artifact registry, etc.)
• Ensure scanner availability and result integrity
