Summary

Under direct supervision from the Clinical Director, performs work of moderate difficulty in the planning and implementation of activities, pro social skills training, and family support services; performs related work as assigned.  
YOUTH BEHAVIORAL HEALTH PARAPROFESSIONAL II
Under supervision from the Clinical Director, performs work of moderate difficulty in the planning and implementation of activities, pro social skills training, and family support services.

YOUTH BEHAVIORAL HEALTH PARAPROFESSIONAL I
TYPICAL DUTIES: (Illustrative only)
  • Works closely with Clinical Director in the day-to-day operations of Youth Center
  • Adheres to workplace procedures as well as health and safety protocols
  • Completes all training associated with the position
  • Operates the front desk and monitors the checking in procedures of youth
  • Processes and inputs confidential and sensitive information into Electronic Health Record (EHR)
  • Learn and further develop skills related to working with youth in a youth center
  • Engages with the youth and their families and works to create trust between youth, family, and Youth Center
  • Plans and coordinate social activities for youth in center
  • Maintains membership access system
  • Maintains client records in compliance with Coconino County Health and Human Services, Arizona Department of Health Services, Regional Behavioral Health Authority/health plans, and Arizona Health Care Cost Containment System.
  • Assists youth and their families in navigating, providing referrals to community partners and accessing services within the community
  • Utilizes person-first language in all interactions and demonstrates excellence in compassionate customer service
  • Builds relationships with collaborative partners to support and strengthen referrals and linkages to care
  • Completes documentation in the Electronic Health Record for activities with enrolled individuals.
  • Participates in weekly supervision with Clinical Director
  • Performs related duties and fulfills responsibilities as needed


YOUTH BEHAVIORAL HEALTH PARAPROFESSIONAL II
  • Works closely with Clinical Director in the day-to-day operations of Youth Center
  • Adheres to workplace procedures as well as health and safety protocols
  • Completes all training associated with the position
  • Operates the front desk and monitors the checking in procedures of youth
  • Processes and inputs confidential and sensitive information into the Electronic Health Record 
  • Learn and further develop skills related to working with youth in a youth center
  • Engages with the youth and their families and works to create trust between youth, family, and Youth Center
  • Plans and coordinates social activities, and employment development skills, for youth in center
  • Maintains membership access system
  • Functions positively as a member of the treatment team providing behavioral health services to youth
  • Communicates and coordinates client care with family members, behavioral and medical health professionals, and community resources.
  • Participates in weekly supervision with Clinical Director
  • Maintains client records in compliance with Coconino County Health and Human Services, ADHS, RBHA/health plans, and AHCCCS
  • Assists youth and their families in navigating, providing community referrals, and accessing services within the community
  • Plan and facilitate pro social and psycho educational groups for youth
  • Completes documentation in the Electronic Health Record for activities with enrolled individuals
  • Utilizes person-first language in all interactions and demonstrates excellence in compassionate customer service
  • Build relationships with collaborative partners to support and strengthen referrals and linkages to care
