The Asset Information business activity uses two main IT systems.

 

GNET is used as ESB's Corporate Graphical Information System (GIS), with all voltage networks (LV, 10/20 kV, 38 kV, 110kV, 220kV, and 400kV), for the entire country. In addition to its role as a network recording system, GNET is the source of data for several critical corporate applications.

 

SAP Plant Maintenance is used as ESB’s Corporate Asset Register and Maintenance Management system

A Team Member of Central Network Mapping utilises the Geographic Information System to record and  accurately deliver all maps as used by ESB staff, ESB systems and external stakeholders.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain knowledge and skills in order to carry out full range of duties.

  • Develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

  • Manage all relevant information within and outside the team.
  • Contribute to new data collection initiatives as will emerge from ‘The Networks of the Future’.

 

 

Experience and Qualifications

 

Essential

 

  • Either 3rd Level qualification or equivalent work experience.
     

Desirable

 

  • A qualification in Geographic Information Systems or experience with SAP Systems is desirable.
  • A full driving licence.

 

 

Location 

 

ESB Networks main office/depot Finglas, Dublin.

The successful candidate may work flexibly within their jurisdiction with attendance at the workplace for in-person collaboration on at least one anchor day per week. All smart working arrangements are subject to manager approval and ongoing review, based on the operational requirements of the role, the team, and the individual. 

 

 

 

Reporting to

 

The successful candidate will report to the Central Network Mapping Team Lead.

Salary

Starting from €31,200
