The PKI and Cryptographic Advisor will be responsible for the comprehensive management and oversight of the organization's Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) and cryptographic systems. This role involves strategic planning, implementation, and maintenance of cryptographic solutions to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of sensitive data. The advisor will work closely with various departments to integrate robust cryptographic practices into all aspects of the organization's operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, implement, and maintain the organization’s PKI infrastructure.
- Develop and enforce cryptographic policies, procedures, and standards.
- Provide expert advice on cryptographic solutions and their integration into existing systems.
- Conduct and support regular security assessments and audits of cryptographic systems.
- Manage digital certificates and keys, ensuring their secure storage and distribution.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest developments in cryptography and security technologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure cryptographic best practices are followed.
- Respond to and resolve security incidents related to cryptographic systems.
- Develop and deliver training sessions on digital certificates, cryptographic keys and information security to staff and stakeholders.
- Prepare reports and presentations for senior management on the status of cryptographic systems and projects.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in cryptography, PKI, and information security.
- In-depth knowledge of cryptographic algorithms, protocols, and standards.
- Experience with PKI technologies and certificate management systems.
- Strong understanding of security best practices and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CompTIA Security+, Certified Encryption Specialist) are a plus.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with cloud-based cryptographic solutions.
- Knowledge of hardware security modules (HSMs) and their integration.
- Familiarity with post-quantum cryptography and its implications would be a plus.
- Experience of managing and working with key management systems and practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Technical Skills:
- In-depth knowledge of cryptographic algorithms (e.g., RSA, ECC, AES), protocols (e.g., SSL/TLS) and standards (e.g., FIPS, NIST, X.509).
- Experience with hardware security modules (HSMs), use-cases and their integration.
- Familiarity with cloud-based cryptographic solutions and key management practices.
- Understanding of post-quantum cryptography and its implications for current systems is a plus.
Soft Skills:
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
- Superior communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain complex concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
* Note: This role requires that you are able to support on-call rotational duties after regular business hours and on-weekends. Also, requires to be onsite 3-5 days/week. *
Salary:
$65,400.00 - $121,800.00Pay Type:
