West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Pediatrics is seeking a Pediatric Endocrinologist qualified for appointment at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor rank. The successful candidate will be expected to practice in Morgantown, WV.
Duties: The successful candidate will practice in the areas of Pediatric Endocrinology. In addition to providing excellent patient care, the successful candidate will also be actively involved in teaching medical students and residents.
Qualifications: Candidate must have an MD or DO degree or foreign equivalent and be eligible for state medical license. Successful candidate must have completed a pediatrics residency program, as well as an endocrinology fellowship program. Successful candidates must be board certified / eligible in pediatric endocrinology. All qualifications must be met by the time of appointment.
Our 150-bed WVUM Golisano Children’s Hospital has a full suite of pediatric operating rooms, cardiac catheterization lab/interventional radiology, and GI-endoscopy with dedicated pediatric anesthesia staff. The hospital includes 34 pediatric beds, 54 NICU beds, 26 PICU beds, Heart Center, and a dedicated Pediatric Blood & Cancer Center. The hospital is a Level 2 Pediatric Trauma Center, with plans to become Level 1, as it is for adults currently. There is also a Birthing Center including a 30-bed obstetrical unit and maternal-fetal medicine clinic. WVUM Golisano Children’s is the only hospital in West Virginia with a pediatric cardiac surgery program, the only epilepsy monitoring unit in the state equipped to serve children, and the only hospital in the state to receive Magnet status for nursing excellence.
