About the role

Amazon Studios is seeking bright, multitasking, dynamic, self-motivated and Spanish speaking (written/verbal) interns to work hard, have fun and make history with us this summer. Amazon Studios Internship Program, gives interns hands-on experience working with the studio behind critically-acclaimed and award-winning original programming including TV series such as The Boys, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power and La Cabeza de Joaquin Murrieta and and movies like Borat Subsequent MovieFilm, Coming 2 America, and Oscar Nominee Argentina 1985.

Over the course of the summer this position will learn the end-to-end steps of post production working backwards from all the master deliverables that are needed to launch on Prime Video. This role will get visibility into the pre-greenlight and pre-production post production budgeting and scheduling process, and they will get a unique view into the editorial and post finishing; including the creative notes process, picture finishing and audio finishing. This position will learn about UHD, HDR, cloud-based workflows and other Amazon Studios' tech-forward initiatives. We don’t “fix it in Post”…WE FIX IT IN PRE.

In addition to working closely with executives in our Culver City offices, interns have the opportunity to participate in guest speaker sessions, networking events and screenings.

Our summer internship class will take place from end of May through August 2023. Internships are paid opportunities. Credit is not required, however we will provide documentation if necessary. An Amazon Studios team member will contact you should your experiences and interests match an open internship position.


Key job responsibilities
1. Scripted Series Post Checklist & Asset Tracking - Reviewing various tracking charts for Post Deliverables, reviewing latest list of assets to be delivered, evaluating pros and cons of each and how these communicate to main studio charts in order to find most effective procedures to follow.
2. Sustainability Data – Build charts and graphs, demonstrating the positive impact and savings that Post team has been able to achieve over the last 4 years, and ideally build a proposal on further areas in which Post can be a champion of sustainability. (Would require research of all past series in territory, and collaboration with creative and production teams).
3. Roundtable Participation for Developing the Best in Post – Tasked with reviewing Global Production Manual to participate in roundtables with the Post team to better pinpoint challenges and areas of growth needed in order to develop freelance training program for Post Coordinator, Supervisors and Producers.
4. Post Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Accessibility (DEIA+) Newsletter – Participate in the creation of the Post Newsletter by suggesting themes, articles, and interviews. Will be encouraged to lead meetings and seek interviews that will be included in the monthly newsletter.


A day in the life
Intern will have the opportunity to learn from Post Executives and Coordinators, focusing in South America and Mexico, to learn how these territories work. Intern will be exposed to the latest post-production workflows and will have visibility into how Post is closely related to creatives and production teams. They will learn what factors go into budgeting and scheduling a project, how to set up editorial and how each step in the finishing process works. Experiencing the different parts of the life of a project is a valuable skill to take back to school or to enter the workforce with.


About the team
Our intern will be working with the Spanish Speaking Latin American (SP-LATAM) Post Production Team. All SP-LATAM Post Executives and Coordinator, have a combined experience of working freelance and within different studios in the US, EU, Mexico and South America, before joining Amazon. As our market becomes globally inclined and the larger one’s scope of our industry the better, the Post team focuses on enhancing the creative vision of each series through being involve from development to final delivery to achieve a successful launch on Prime Video.

Basic Qualifications


Candidates must be active students during the time of their internship. A student is characterized by: any candidate currently enrolled in an accredited degree program, including Bachelor’s, Master’s, PhD, Associate, certificates, and diplomas.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous internship experience at a production company or studio.
