Adventist HealthCare Rehabilitation at White Oak Medical Pavilion seeks to hire a Cardiac Registered Nurse who will embrace our mission to extend God’s care through the ministry of physical, mental, and spiritual healing.

As a Registered Nurse, you will:
• Develop a plan of care according to the patient population
• Identify impending changes in patient condition accurately and initiate corrective action
• Mentor students, colleagues, and team members in patient-centered care
• Conduct purposeful rounding from the patient and family perspective
• Conducts efficient literature searches and applies findings appropriately to practice
• Identify opportunities for improvement in clinical care and participate in practice change based on evidence. i.e., participates in wound prevalence study
• Create a work environment that promotes cooperation, respect, and trust among team members
• Act with integrity, consistency, and respect for different views and communication styles
• Engage effectively in teamwork and team-building processes
• Participate in error analyses and system/process improvements
• Use established safety resources for professional development and to help ensure safe practices, e.g., PDCA huddle, restraint concurrent audit, falls huddle, and infection control reports
• Participate in the collection of data on the clinical unit to improve care delivery and outcomes, e.g., patient care audits, pain reassessment and documentation, and care planning
• Actively seek information about quality initiatives in own organization and care settings and apply information to practice

Qualified candidates will possess:
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a minimum of an Associate
of Science degree required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred or currently enrolled
in a BSN program
• Cardiac nursing (including telemetry) experience required
• Active Maryland RN license required
• Active American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
• Active American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required

Work Schedule:

This position is Per Diem at a rate of $48/hour

Per diem day shift, as needed for coverage

Pay Range:

If the salary range is not displayed or if the position is Per Diem (with a fixed rate), salary discussions will take place during the screening process.

Under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), this position is classified as:

United States of America (Non-Exempt)
