The Role:

Congo Brands is looking for an experienced Festival Marketing Manager to join our team and build out the festival strategy for Alani Nu and PRIME. The Festival Marketing Manager will be responsible for the overall development, management, production and success of all sponsored festival activations within the defined regions. This position will operate cross functionally with our On-Premise, Brand, Field Marketing, Shopper Marketing, and Distribution teams, as well as outside vendors, to drive Alani Nu and PRIME’s presence within the major festival event landscape.

The Festival Marketing Manager will ensure quality event execution as well as leading the negotiation and contract process for marketing and sales with event partners. Success will be measured through creating brand awareness within the festival landscape and increasing consumer pull at the top festivals and On-Premise events in the defined regions.

What you’ll do:

  • Become an expert in the music festival landscape and industry trends.
  • Forge strategic partnerships with music festivals for PRIME and Alani Nu brands.
  • Represent our brands and negotiate optimal placement within festival grounds.
  • Coordinate strategic product placement at festivals.
  • Gain buy-in from festival owners and vendors to ensure Congo portfolio brands are “must carry” products.
  • Develop and execute marketing collateral strategies for festival presence.
  • Define and manage the brands' footprint at festivals to maximize visibility.
  • Conduct competitor analysis to assess their presence at festivals.
  • Collaborate with festival organizers to secure prime locations for brand activation.
  • Manage budgets effectively to ensure cost-efficient festival participation.
  • Liaise with internal teams to align marketing strategies with overall brand goals.
  • Stay updated on industry developments and emerging opportunities in the festival space.
  • Coordinate with the On-Premise team for successful activations at each festival and event.

What you bring to the role:

  • Proven experience in partnering with major music festivals and understanding festival dynamics.
  • Strong negotiation and relationship-building skills.
  • Previous success in beverage brand representation and beverage product placement at large-scale festivals, preferably non-alcoholic beverage brands.
  • Knowledge of marketing strategies specific to the festival environment.
  • Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
  • Budget management experience and financial acumen.
  • Ability to analyze and respond to competitor activities effectively.
  • Creative thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Requirements

  • 5+ year's relevant experience in live event and festival activation and production, and an understanding of experiential marketing. *Festival Experience Required*
  • Thorough understanding of all facets of festival and event production, brand marketing strategy, and the ability to find creative and unique solutions
  • Ability to travel to all festivals and events to ensure smooth execution.
  • Clear understanding of and the ability to navigate the modern festival and event landscape
  • Experience managing significant budgets
  • Strong negotiation and project management skills
  • Proven success in leading a multi-disciplinary team in collaborating to achieve established objectives
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, or experience in lieu of degree
  • English, additional languages an advantage
