Senior Safety and Environmental Specialist

Reporting to the Plant Manager, you will support an operating culture that integrates Environment, Health, Safety & Security within daily operations. You will partner with leaders and subject matter experts across the organization to design, develop, and implement programs, training, and initiatives that strengthen our safety culture and ensure compliance. You will manage projects from concept through implementation and create structured work plans, schedules, estimates, resource plans, and status updates to drive successful execution.
A Taste of Your Responsibilities
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders and subject matter experts to design, develop, and implement programs and processes.
- Manage core team resources and coordinate project planning and execution to support on‑time implementation.
- Support the development and deployment of standard safety programs.
- Coordinate the EHS & Security assessment program, including assessment scheduling, report distribution, and closure of identified findings.
- Lead and sustain the Floor Captain Program, including annual severe‑weather and fire‑evacuation training for all corporate locations.
- Develop and deploy safety‑training content for the enterprise through the learning management system.
- Compile and publish weekly, monthly, and annual metrics and reports.
- Administer initial Workers Compensation functions
Ingredients Required for Your Success
- Associate’s Degree is required. Four‑year college degree in Business, Environment, Health, Safety & Security, or related field is preferred.
- Two to four years of experience organizing, planning, and executing projects.
- Strong written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Competence to create and deliver presentations for senior management and external stakeholders.
- Strong communication and project‑management skills.
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.

Compensation:
Annual Base Salary: $63,000.00 - $85,000.00The annual salary listed above is the expected offering for this position. An employee’s actual annual salary will be based on but not limited to: location, relevant experience/level and skillset, while balancing internal Conagra employees’ equity. Conagra Brands will comply with applicable law regarding minimum salaries for exempt employees.
