Who You Are

We are seeking an experienced Instructional Designer with a focus on external customer education to join our new customer education team. As a Senior Instructional Designer, you will be responsible for creating engaging and effective learning experiences for Justworks customers, empowering them to maximize their utilization of our products and achieve their desired outcomes. You’ll use your creativity, passion, and expertise in instructional design and adult learning principles to develop customer education programs that drive product adoption, customer success, retention, and overall customer satisfaction.  

This unique role requires skills and experience at the intersection of customer training, product expertise, visual design, and an understanding of scalable, digital-first customer enablement. You’ll work cross-functionally to understand customer needs and company priorities in order to collaborate on our customer enablement roadmap, content calendar, KPIs/metrics, and assessment criteria. You’ll have previous experience in the entire lifecycle of educational content and curriculum creation including writing scripts, recording videos, creating visuals/decks and editing content.

Your Success Profile

What You Will Work On

  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Marketing, Customer Success, Revenue Enablement, and other internal subject matter experts to identify customer education needs and goals.
  • Use a variety of different software tools to create high-quality customer learning content, including training videos, decks, e-learning courses, learning paths, product tutorials, job aids, and other self-service resources to guide and empower Justworks customers throughout the customer journey.
  • Apply instructional design principles and adult learning theories to create engaging, learner-centric content that aligns with customer learning objectives.
  • Conduct needs analysis to identify skill gaps and develop comprehensive learning paths and curriculum frameworks for different customer personas and segments.
  • Collaborate with go-to-market teams to produce e-learning materials for new products and features, with a focus on product adoption. 
  • Conduct assessments to measure the effectiveness and impact of customer education content and make data-driven recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in digital customer education.
  • Experiment with new approaches that drive engagement and operational efficiency. 
  • Participate in LMS vendor search and evaluation as needed.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
