Your mission

Embrace a culture of continuous learning and improvement, staying updated with industry trends and best practices while promoting innovation within your team.
Design, develop, and deploy data engineering solutions to address business challenges, managing the entire data lifecycle journey from ingestion to end-user reporting.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into scalable and efficient data solutions.
Build and maintain scalable data pipelines for extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL/ELT) data from various sources.
Contribute to deliveries within your team, ensuring that your work aligns with the goals of the domain and impacts organizational objectives effectively.
Prioritize quality in delivery by embracing aspects such as maintainability, complexity, testability, and progressive rollout mechanisms.
Identify and mitigate technical risks that may impact delivery, implementing incremental mitigation strategies over time.
Advocate for the right level of investment in solutioning and strive for robust implementations, providing reliable estimations and preventing system clutter.
Foster a collaborative mindset, encouraging cross-functional collaboration and empowering less experienced engineers to take ownership of their work.
Optimize the performance of data pipelines and processing systems to ensure reliability and scalability.
Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data engineering, evaluating new technologies and frameworks to enhance our data capabilities.
Contribute to research and development projects, driving innovation and influencing the direction of data engineering within the organization.
Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, presenting complex data concepts in a clear and concise manner.

Your profile

3+ years of experience designing, developing, and optimizing end-to-end data solutions in real-world applications.
Proficiency with stacks using technologies such as Python, AWS (DMS, Redshift), Java, Spark, Kafka, and SQL, along with expertise in data libraries and frameworks.
Passion for continuous growth and learning, embracing change, and proactively adapting to new requirements and environments.
Strong problem-solving skills with a structured and holistic approach to complex challenges.
Ability to identify and mitigate technical risks, ensuring on-time and safe delivery of new product capabilities.
Solid understanding of software engineering principles and effective design patterns suitable for different development scenarios.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, fostering teamwork and collaboration.
Proven track record of driving technical excellence, innovation, and continuous improvement within your team.
Fluent in English and optionally German.
You are a team player and open-minded for after-work socializing.
