Job Description
The position is responsible for Group Performance which encompasses, Group FP&A, executing the long-term vision and strategy for FP&A as well as ensuring the delivery and execution of FP&A activities globally. The position plays a key strategic role in reviewing and agreeing all commercial agreements over $20 million, providing, with the CFO, group insights to investors.
Lead and execute the long-term vision and strategy for FP&A globally:
Drive value creation throughout the business by providing quality and insightful analysis in all areas of Commercial finance
Lead the development & implementation of standard tools & processes to simplify operations and facilitate best practice sharing across the Group
Lead the global long-term planning and budgeting process across the Group, creating value by
Lead the production of standard and ad-hoc finance reports to serve customers and fulfil internal service levels
Provide Commercial advice and support to the Group CFO by:
Having a deep understanding of the various pooling business models and associated business performance levers
Understand the risk appetite and return expectations of stakeholders including senior executives, Board, investors (debt & equity) and credit rating agencies
Liaising with senior business leaders throughout the Group to understand both internal and external environment risks & opportunities
Linking commercial decisions to strategic planning and the execution of the Group’s strategy
Lead Group FP&A transformation activities including:
Develop and implement tools and processes to improve analysis and insights of business, commercial & supply chain performance to improve decision making and value creation
Provide oversight for the development of the business case for a new Group planning & forecasting system.
Responsible for Group financial planning activities including:
Building out the planning processes including reporting to the Board
Support the Group Strategy team to link short & long term planning with the formation and execution of strategic objectives
Partner with the Global Transformation team to drive Financial Insights for Group Transformation Initative
Compare short & long term forecasts to market consensus, highlighting gaps to expectations
Provide consolidated analytics, insights, gap analysis and commentary
Challenge, question & validate insights, and capture risks and opportunities embedded in the business
Prepare top down modelling for short and long term financial outcomes including sensitivity analysis
Maintain a Group financial risk and opportunities register
Commercial & Supply Chain:
Deliver Group commercial and supply chain performance review processes including
Ensure that commercial and pricing developments in the market link into the business performance reviews as well as short, medium & long term planning
