Job Title
AIS Digital ASIC Design Senior Electrical Engineer
About The Business Unit
Skyworks AI Solutions (AIS) is at the forefront of audio and voice technology innovation with our analog system on chips (ASoCs). Our ASoCs provide key technologies for consumer audio and gaming products in applications such as smart speakers & microphones, wired & wireless headsets, virtual assistants and gaming controllers. We are continuously growing our team to develop market specific ASoCs which combine breakthrough ultra-low power analog circuits, highly efficient power management, DSP, custom hardware accelerators for smart acoustic signal processing and AI enabled audio features.
Responsibilities
- You will be responsible for the design of custom digital IP in mixed-signal CMOS ASOCs. This will include writing specifications, designing IP to meet your specifications, optimizing for area and current consumption, verifying functionality and integrating into the overall ASIC. You will interact and support other team members designing, constructing, verifying and programming the ASIC. You will contribute to system-level testing and the silicon validation of your designs.
- This position requires an individual skilled in digital design, problem solving, debugging, and creating efficient circuit implementations. Our business relies on the ingenuity and inventiveness of our design group to solve our customers’ problems.
- You will interface with other teams within the business unit, including your analog and firmware design counterpart for SOCs. Our engineering teams work together to deliver high-quality execution and first-silicon success.
Qualification And Education Requirements
- Proven track record of exceptional performance in digital ASIC design
- 5+ years (BSEE) or 3+ years (MSEE) of relevant industry experience
- Experience with embedded processor interfaces, mixed-signal designs, system verification
- Experience producing detailed technical reports and documentation
- Experience in implementation with Verilog and System Verilog
- Experience in pre-silicon verification and post-silicon validation
- Professional, open and highly self-motivated attitude
Preferred Skills
- Hands-on mixed-signal design in sub-45nm CMOS
- Audio system design
- ASIC physical design
- Python programming
- Experience with a Linux environment, FPGAs, debugging
- Python programming and data analysis
The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $87,600 - $167,900 per year. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different base pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S. Benefits include access to healthcare benefits (including a premium-free medical plan option), a 401(k) plan and company match, an employee stock purchase plan, paid time off (including vacation, sick/wellness, parental leave), among others.
