Job Description

The Business & Legal Affairs team provides legal support across various groups within Fandango, including Technology, Marketing, Ticketing, Gift Cards, Promotions, and others.  The Counsel, Business & Legal Affairs, will help draft and negotiate a wide range of agreements, including technology agreements, ticketing distribution agreements, gift card distribution agreements, and promotional sales agreements. In addition, this role will also assist with sweepstakes/promotions, and other marketing activations.  This position will report to the Vice President, Business & Legal Affairs.

The candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Drafting and negotiating co-promotional agreements with various studios to support Fandango’s studio marketing efforts.
  • Drafting and negotiating technology agreements, including software licenses.
  • Drafting and negotiating ticketing distribution agreements. 
  • Drafting and negotiating various agreements related to Fandango’s gift card group. 
  • Reviewing marketing creative materials.
  • Providing advice on and drafting terms and conditions, and official rules for promotions and sweepstakes.

Qualifications

  • J.D. from an accredited law school and member of the California State Bar, or willingness and qualification to be registered in-house counsel
  • 4+ years of legal experience in a transactional role at a major law firm or in-house legal department of a technology company.

  • Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
  • This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
