We are working with a client in need of an IT Project Manager with GxP experience. The IT Project Manager Consultant is responsible for the successful delivery of projects assigned to them. This encompasses all phases of the project from initiation though project closeout.

Project Length: 6 months plus

Location: Remote

Job Description

  • Delivers project management services in alignment with processes and best practices.
  • Manages cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of applications.
  • Provides input into project proposals and statements of work.
  • Collaborates with vendor project managers to develop the master project schedule, resource plan, validation plan, budget, milestones, and all agreed upon project deliverables.
  • Manages risks and issues and develops mitigation plans by engaging the appropriate individuals, and escalates to management, if needed.
  • Collaborates with vendor PM regarding all changes to timeline, scope, budget, and resources and documents impact in a Project Change Request Form.
  • Develops and delivers status reports and meeting notes.
  • Collaborates with IT Business Partners and the Business SME to support the development of the business case and project charter.
  • Provide regular budget updates– actuals vs. forecast; escalate issues to management, if needed.
  • Coordinate the development of project related Teams and/or SharePoint sites and maintain user permissions. Ensure all project documentation is stored in the appropriate repositories and that naming conventions are followed.
  • Aligns with the IT Business Partner regarding input needed for project steering committee decks and all other presentations, as needed.
  • Facilitates project steering committee meetings (align with IT BPs on this one)
  • Lead and facilitate lessons learned sessions and document feedback.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, other related fields and/or equivalent experience.
  • 8-10 years direct experience in project management; PMP certification is a plus.
  • Strong working knowledge of managing projects in a GxP environment is required.
  • Strong working knowledge of project management software and collaboration tools such as SmartSheets, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Experience in budget tracking, resource management, change and risk/issues management.
  • Experience is delivering systems for a Life Sciences company is required.
  • Excellent oral, written, and analytical skills are required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaboratively challenge others.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Resourceful, flexible, and quickly adapts to shifting priorities.
