General Notes

Position is full-time, benefits eligible, and will end 12/31/2024.

Purpose

To perform laboratory procedures and support ongoing studies in the lab of Dr. Michael Drew in the Department of Neuroscience at The University of Texas at Austin.

Responsibilities 

  • Perform experiments by performing surgeries, running behavioral tasks and histological analyses.

  • Disseminate research by writing and revising manuscripts and related activities.

  • Maintain animal and biohazard protocols.

  • Train lab personnel in surgery and related experiment procedures.

  • Other duties as assigned by the PI.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Neuroscience or related field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in experimental rodent behavioral neuroscience is preferable

  • Five or more years of laboratory experience in behavioral neuroscience.

Salary 

$45,000
