Property Ambassador Job Description

JOB SUMMARY: 

The Property Ambassador will be responsible for providing the highest level of personalized guest service by welcoming our guests in a friendly manner while monitoring and controlling the guest access to areas of the resort.

 ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:   

• Staff various Ambassador Podiums throughout the resort.
• Monitor and control guest access to appropriate tower by checking Hotel Keys. Assist with directions to their accommodations.
• Acknowledge and greet all guests with utmost courtesy and urgency, moving out from behind the podium to interact and assist guests. 
• Utilize all resources available to ensure full knowledge and understanding of the property, to provide an exceptional service experience for our guest.   
• Proactively answer questions about resort facilities, dining options and local area attractions.
• Uphold the resort’s family style service and ensuring a consistent positive experience for all guests.
• Collaborate and assist departments with special requests.
• Ensure the podium and area is kept neat, clean and organized. Report any concerns such as engineering issues, cleanliness, etc. in the resort.
• Be knowledgeable of on-property menus as well as local current restaurants, spas, attractions and events (concerts, theater, sporting events, special events, and more.) 
• Assure prompt and positive action on all guest complaints, questions, concerns and suggestions. 
• Be knowledgeable of the Total Rewards Program; communicating benefits of the program to all guests. 
• Other duties as assigned

 

QUALIFICATION/REQUIREMENTS: 

• One year of experience in a guest service role within a luxury hotel environment required.
• Must be flexible and able to work weekends, nights and holidays to support peak hours of operation. 
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, always maintaining professionalism.  
• Tolerates loud noise and potential secondhand smoke.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills. 
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time – greater than 6 hours or more.
• Knowledge of Forbes Five Star and AAA Five Diamond standards, and multi-lingual abilities are preferred.

 

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: 

• HS diploma or GED. 
• One or more years of appropriate experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
