Position Summary

 

As a Sr. Specialist -Product Ownership, you will be responsible for the Business Planning Optimization (BPO) tool, Purina’s trade promotion optimization application. You will be the primary point of contact for all activity owners and other support groups. You will establish and manage the product roadmap and backlog to ensure development and prioritization of enhancement requests, based on end user feedback. You will coordinate efforts across internal teams to diagnose and resolve process and application issues. This job serves as the first line of support for BPO and is the Subject Matter Expert (SME). 

  

  • Collaborate with and lead stakeholders to develop BPO product roadmap 
  • Analyze feedback from end users to provide high level insights for dashboard development and application enhancements 
  • Identify and analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to improve existing processes 
  • Develop and maintain proper documentation to serve as a training tool including preventing future issues 
  • Develop, share, and incorporate organizational best practices into business application and process 
  • Test data models to ensure outputs produce required business result 
  • Respond to users and team member questions, analyze data, research, and troubleshoot to resolve issues and identify root cause 
  • Guide end users through the resolution of problems and recommend corrective and preventative actions. Work with internal teams, as well as external vendor, as required 
  • Escalate identified issues timely and appropriately 
  • Accountable for timely and clear impact communications to end users, business stakeholders including management: Known problems and solutions / bug fix / work arounds, outages, new releases and features 
  • User access and password management and application availability for end users 
  • Yearly Cloud Assessment / Compliance 

 
Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution 
  • 5+ years of combined experience within both Business and IT functions 
  • 3+ years’ experience working as a Business Analyst or support role working with internal and external stakeholders 
  • 2+ years of experience with Microsoft Office applications and features (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Power BI, and Teams) 

 
Other

  • Experience supporting applications housed in the Azure cloud platform 
  • Experience working with software development teams 

 

The approximate pay range for this position is $104,000 to $141,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Final compensation may vary based on factors including but not limited to knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as geographic location.
